The Maasai Culture like many other cultures faces its fair share of challenges. These challenges as listed motivated the formation of the Olkuak le Maa Cultural & Research Centre;
✓ Lack of sufficient documentation and preservation of Maasai history and culture.
✓ The lack of copyrights of the culture puts the culture at a risk of intellectual theft.
✓ Abuse of intellectual knowledge by researchers and investors.
✓ Risk of culture erosion due to lack of knowledge transfer through generation, religion and westernization
